Rhythm Sheets

One of the biggest disconnects in reading music and getting ideas for new rhythms is due to a lack of exposure to practicing them. This will take a little work, but it does wonders. Provided on this page are three rhythm sheets. The basic rhythm sheet helps you get a grasp on visualizing rhythm. Being able to see the beat to something is pretty awesome and very powerful to helping you grow musically. As you move on to the second sheet, you'll settle right in to the popualal home for many basslines, a combo of 1/4 notes and 1/8 notes. After than, sheet three really starts to give you some ideas for groove and syncopation, playing around the beats. Take your time, slow down your count and clap these bad boys out. You'll be more confident looking at sheet music and not be paniced by rhythm and maybe, just maybe get a few sweet ideas for some new rhythms of your own.

Happy grooving and enjoy!
