Hi! I'm Ryan,

and welcome to my little online bass project called Bass Matter. I'm thrilled you're here and I hope you find some useful information. I've been playing for nearly 2 decades and I'm thrilled to be part of the online bass community. The goal of Bass Matter is simple...To provide free, quality bass instruction and tools to those looking to further their skills. It's very exciting to observe the growing new pool of bass resources becoming available and I know I've learned a ton! Back in the early 2000's when I attended B.I.T. and The Metropolitan State College of Denver for Music, Youtube was still a few years away from starting, Facebook was a dream and MySpace wasn't even cool yet. Learning to play was much more....analog. With online learning now a viable way to grow musicianship I've prepared this free offering to give back and I hope it helps. =)

I've been teaching for a number of years now and enjoy working with anyone interested in furthering their bass playing. It's such an honor to be an educator and I know that I learn just as much from those that I'm offering my knowledge to. That is the beauty of music education.
